Memory Wuta releases Vakarurama album
MASVINGO-RAISED gospel songstress Memory Wuta has released her debut album entitled Vakarurama whose message is aimed at encouraging people to keep their faith in God despite the negative circumstances they may encounter.
Wuta, who enjoyed a stint with Masvingo Worship Choir as a backing vocalist in 2018 told Zim Community News that she begun working on her solo project at the end of last year.
The album is set to bring hope to Zimbabweans who are facing the spectre of the Covid-19 pandemic. “I begun recording the album entitled Vakarurama (borrowed from Psalms 125) in October 2019 and it was completed this year.
“It’s message encourages people to stand firm in the Lord no matter the circumstances, as the Bible says “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion which cannot be shaken or moved.” “Therefore, a situation or challenge has no right to shift our trust in the Lord.
She has also featured two respected local gospel artists Pastor Josh Kays and Argatha Murudzwa-Ndembera. “I was also inspired by Bethen Pasinawako-Ngolomi and from my sister’s husband the late John Mutoko also known as ‘Mr Fantastic’. She assured fans that more albums and videos are coming.
Born at Ndanga Hospital, the upcoming was part of praise and worship team in ZAOGA FIF which happens to be her church.
