“11 years after Sadomba’s first appearance at AL Hilal Sudan, the Sudanese still celebrate him. Picture taken last night 01/02/2020 in Sudan as AL Hilal Sudan played against the Egyptians AL Ahli.
The statement beneath the pictures says
‘Stories will be taught about a player who became an example of loyalty Edward Sadomba’
In 2006 Sunday Chidzambwa brought Sadomba to Dynamos FC where he played till 2008. In 2006, he won the most disciplined player award at Dynamos, and to date he avers that, “one can have all the skills and opportunities in the world, but only discipline and consistency will sustain you and take you to the next level”.
The 2007 squad is arguably one of the best combinations to ever play at DeMbare. They broke their own records, they won the league championship after 10 years of struggle. They also won the CBZ Cup in the same year. Dynamos also gave Sadomba exposure when they reached semi-finals in the CAF Champions League 2008, which put him on demand in the 2009 transfer window hence his many offers from regional and international clubs. He scored five goals for Dynamos in the Caf Champions League, two against ASEC MIMOSA of Ivory Coast and three against COSTA DO SOL, Mozambique. In 2005 Sadomba played for Maritzburg United in South Africa. He suffered a career threatening career injury which sent him back home, one would have thought that was the end of his career. He testifies of a miraculous recovery which defied the doctors’ reports. It is after this miracle that he began to have reverence for God.
At the age of 17, Edward Sadomba was head-hunted by Mike Madzivanyika, who introduced him to one of his first mentors Dr Regis Dzenga owner of Harare United Division 1 Northern Region, who was basically the game changer to his talent and career. He became the division 1 top goal scorer in 2003-2004 season. Sadomba is one of the Agatha Sheneti Alumnus amongst other great products such as Oni Wiwatowski Bhasera Benjamin Marere, Ali Sadiki Munyaradzi Diya The Mubaiwa Twins, Ronald Chari, Kuziwa Kuziva Mbuwa.- Zim Community News
