Youthful fuel mogul eyes Zanu PF post

YOUTHFUL fuel mogul, Danmore Mambondiyani (28) has confirmed reports that he gunning fo the Zanu PF secretary for youth affairs post in Mutare district in the party’s upcoming District Coordination Committee elections.
The Liquid Cargo Africa director and co-founder of a black indigenous petroleum company said if elected into office, he was aiming at facilitating economic empowerment of the youth.
“Yes, it’s true that l want to be the secretary for youth affairs in Mutare district.
“As a young person who has achieved a lot, l now seek a leadership position in politics, where l can also share my vision with my fellow youths,” he said
“Having started a Grocery wholesale and fuel company with very little knowledge, recruiting new faces required so much attention and patience… that alone is a sign of my capacity to develop others,” he said.
“I think we need developed youths, whose energy is directed to production and productivity, this year his Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa tasked youth to be masters in the re-construction and rebuilding of our nation,” he said.
Mambondiyani, is also running an anti-sanctions campaign on social media in the wake of businessman Kudakwashe Tagwirei placement on on US sanctions list.
He added that the effects of the sanctions and economic shrinkage were frustrating among young people whose lives he hoped to change.
“Having a high formal unemployment rate, our youths must discover that we are in era of creating and not expect others to create for us.
“We have a people-centred President whose policies are aimed at empowering youths to enjoy a better life than that of being employed. All that need to be taught to our youths,” he said.
He said his success was a product of government’s policies and that they are real and effective and practical.
“Self positioning is what is needed, hence all youths need to appropriately position themselves with the ideology and opportunities presented by our revolutionary Zanu PF party.”
The young politician-cum-businessman is reputed to be a big player in the petroleum transportation and logistics in the country.
