Memorable year for Onai Makumbiza

AT A time in which the Covid-19 pandemic has transformed the entire global music eco-system, Botswana-based gospel musician Onai Makumbiza’s has capped a memorable year with her third single.

Produced by Simbarashe ‘Uncle Simz’ Mukonyo of Simz Records the powerful new track entitled Pfugama Unamate is set to make more impact than Makumbiza’s earlier releases.

“As someone who always wanted to pursue a music career I am glad to announce that in 2021 I have released three singles Garai Mandiri, Ndishambeyi and Pfugama Unamate.”

She told Zim Community News that the she was not surprised the impact the song had on her fans because it ministered to her first before she even released it.

“From the time it was released fans have been telling me that their souls were being uplifted.

“Looking at the current situation we are in, prayer is the only weapon we are given by God to fight all spiritual battles,” she added.

Early this year Makumbiza begun doing Facebook live worship sessions.

“If God allows me I would love to host a very big live concert one of these days as I also believe that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Before releasing her debut album in 2007 called Mwari Rudo, she was a backing vocalist for many artistes.

The first born in a family of five, she begun singing at a tender age.
