Double launch for Ebenezer Platinum Gospel Choir
By JENNEPHER MUTUKWA
GOSPEL music promoter Timothy Ngwenya has combined with other gospel artistes on a new project entitled Ebenezer Platinum Gospel Choir.
Ngwenya, who is also a gospel musician, told Zim Community News today that the choir is set to be launched in Harare and the United Kingdom respectively.
“Our target is to launch the choir in two concerts, the first in Harare, Zimbabwe on 19 November 2022 and the second on 25 March next year in the UK.
The choir whose motto is “Music is all we do” and comprises mostly of solo artistes will promote unity among musicians and strengthen their brands.
Fast-rising musicians Blessing Deve, Caroline Muzambi and Tapiwa Tamirepi are part of the 50-member Ebenezer Platinum Gospel Choir.
“The idea is to promote unity and encourage other musicians to work together for the better,” he said.
He added that the initiative will also benefit gospel musicians who are struggling to make a breakthrough in the cutthroat music industry.
Ngwenya was inspired by the passion and dedication shown by fellow musicians amid the numerous challenges they face.
“No matter the hardships they face, they still sacrifice to record songs and videos”.
