How Mine Gold robbers nabbed

THREE suspected armed robbers were arrested today in connection with the heist of 11,6kgs gold that was in transit from How Mine.
In a press statement, the Zimbabwe Republic Police confirmed the arrest.
They said the trio stole 11,6 kgs of gold and four firearms at the 21km peg along Bulawayo-How Mine Road that was being transported to Fidelity Mine.
“On 04 October 2022, Police received information that some of the stolen items were abandoned at a house under construction along Folly Road, West Summerton, Bulawayo.
Detectives reacted to the report and recovered car keys, 3×9 mmm spent cartridges, a 303-riffle loaded with eight live rounds and three empty metal boxes.
Further investigations by the police established that the South African registered vehicle registration number HR30XJGP, which was abandoned by the suspects at the scene, Ximba Nkosilathi, also known as Tonderai Vumbunu and was at times seeing being driven by Antony Moyo.
Police arrested Antony Moyo who implicated Wilson Mutadwa and Ernest Mutandwa, who were subsequently arrested.’’
The police also noted that Ernest Mutandwa was arrested in Beitbridge in an attempt to flee to South Africa.
